Haha, anyway, back to the topic. My sister just got off the phone with Indian telemarketer. When she picked up, she heard the introduction waved me over to tell me to handle it. Naturally, I didn't want to get off my arse, so I said, "You handle it, I can't be stuffed. Just hang up!" It turns out that we had "won a new Motorola mobile phone" or some shit. My sister was sucked in and kept listening. Anyway, about 5 minutes into the conversation, my sister lost interest and decided to get rid of the guy. She got a magazine and ruffled it against the microphone, saying "what? WHAT? I can't here you!" and then hung up.
What a funny.

Anyway, onto the normal thing. It's getting pretty hot, here in Brisbane. For fuck's sake, I can't imagine how Summer will be this year. Anyway, If you look at my "Current Music" list, I've busted out all the Summer songs these few days. To add to the laziness of every Summer, I am currently on holidays. I'm supposed to be studying for an exam and doing an assignment, but hey, it feels like such a lazy day, I'll get started later.
I've been taking a lot of pictures on my phone lately. It's a pity my phone (Nokia 6111) sucks total arse. Photos take about 3 seconds to register after you press the button. Look at this picture I took of our garden on the way to the bus stop. You can almost see the waves of heat. Nothing much has happened lately. Just busy with uni, playing some Tekken, hanging out with Clara. Everyone is playing bastard style Tekken now. It's pretty funny listening to all the commentaries on other people's play styles.

I downloaded the new Tokyo Jihen DVD. It's pretty good. Some new takes on their old songs, some new songs and a few covers.
Been trying to do work the whole day. Since this fucking assignment is due on Monday, and I'm going out tomorrow night and Saturday night, it only leaves tonight, tomorrow morning, Saturday morning and Sunday arvo. Funny... It's a group assignment and my group consists of three people. One of them (Jared) never returned any emails, calls or messages. We still haven't given him the boot, but come Monday, he better have a fucking good excuse. Anyway, we should be set for the assignment (lol. I am Mr Brightside) because I've found most of the references and done up a little outline so we can "fill in the blanks". Today, I smsed Paul (the other group member) saying, "hey man, i did a draft of the first section, go check your inbox".
He replies with, "good work man, we should get started on this hardcore on monday"
I kinda freaked and said, "um... i think it's due on monday"

This is my last piece of assesment this term, so I'm happy. I have something due first week back though, BUT, that'll have to wait until.... later. It's also a group assignment, but seeing as I live in Brisbane and can't be fucked going down to the coast, it's become a hotmail assignment. I really hope this works out, it's 50% of the whole subject. T__T

Took the day off uni today. Just to stay home and sleep. Worth it! I went out for sushi with mum. There's a new sushi place in Sunnybank Hills. Cheapish and very very very good. The shop is so close to the 130 bus stop too (get off at Pinelands Plaza).
I've been replaying a lot of old games lately. I've finished Monkey Island 3 (again...), Grim Fandango (again) and currently playing Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max: Hit the Road. Been trying to get better at Tekken as well. It seems that the only way to get better is to turtle more. I think I'll have to rework my whole Ling or stop playing for a while to kill off my new turtle style. Good to see a lot of friendly new faces at Replay (Drop Pants 4 Zes). Damn... my Ling card got corrupted or something. I will have to start a new one. Taking name suggestions now. I refuse to add the word "azn" to my card name. He was in my camp group, along with Karim, Chris Chan (thug Chris Chan) and Dalveer. Damn, remember when we talked about Street Fighter through the ENTIRE trip back to Brisbane? Remember Laurence Tolido heh heh heh? I will dig up some camp photos if I can remember where I put them. I met Hayato sometime in grade 8 too. He was in the reject class (8G) with John Lau. I met Quinton in grade 9. He was in the gay group, but migrated to the asian group midyear. I've known Ivan pretty much since I was born. I ran around his garden with a tree branch! I met Matt in grade 11 physics. Good times, I cheated so much but only JUST passed. Puff, yeah..... I met this guy when he was going through my lunchbox trying to steal my fo....... haha what? just kidding. I met Puff in grade 9 during handball. Hahahahaha handball, soooooooooouuuu asian.
I've stretched this entry over a few days purely because I haven't been bothered to think of anything to write about. I went and saw Thankyou For Smoking with Clara yesterday. Pretty good movie, I recommend. The movie is about some guy that is a really good talker/public speaker who can bullshit his way out of anything. This is a quality that Grammar gives you during the 5 years of highschool. I've only ever been to one debate (featuring Charles Ashton [big time teacher's pet][also top tier at debating {ie BSing}]), it was pretty entertaining, but I prefer a game of Tekken with mates anyday.
Uni is starting to get a bit "hectic" at the moment. An assignment waiting to be started, a test (with 10% weighting) waiting to be studied for and some kind of lab write up. Still, I've found the time to go out into the city and have a few games regularly. The Replay Tekken scene's standard hasn't changed much. Old school players have all gone into hibernation (much like in the T4 days). Regular players continue to get better. New school players come, some stay, some leave. It's all good for the scene I suppose, but the influx of faggotry (on behalf of Zes/Bahk/Headshaker) is unneeded. Unnecessary turtling, lame combos, lack of skill and crazy head movements that would piss ANYONE off. GRRR
 In totally different news, there are people fixing our pergola as I type. A few of the horizontal beams just gave way during all the rain we've been having the past couple of days.
