Well... I originally had a long a meaningful entry, but IE decided to crash on me, so I'll do an outline.

Saw Stomp the Yard last night. It's really shit.

Downloaded TWENTY gigs while being capped. I am very happy.

Sambomaster has some pretty good music and very funny PVs. I am very amused.

Bought some cheapish clothes yesterday. I am very beautiful.

Brisbane is very shit at night. I am very disappointed.

I road the bus very early in the morning and had the quickest trip back home from the city. I was asleep.

I have a test on Wednesday and an assignment sometime late. I am semi-stressed.

I am learning to play the guitar "properly". I am pretty shit at it.

I'm sure most of you that read this know what Mi Goreng is. For those that don't know, it is "A cult favourite in Australia, Asia, Africa and many European countries, it has become a staple food for many who are on a shoestring budget." according to Wikipedia.

Anyway, ever since Yuen's Market had a (was) barbeque(d), I've been trying to find a place to get cheap boxes of Mi Goreng. Coles has a "special" for a bag of 5 for around 4 dollars. What a fucking rip-off! The way to go is Fermosa, they sell individual packets for 40 cents (as far as I can remember) and boxes of 30 for 10 dollars (I think).

SO! I was shopping around to do for my favourite snack and I stumbled across a Mi Goreng CLONE! It's called "Super Mi". I was pretty excited, and bought two packets to try it out (one for testing, and the second just in case it was good).

Long story short, Super Mi isn't very super at all. It doesn't have black sauce, it doesn't have dried spring onions!?!?! and it doesn't taste very good. More pictures after .... the jump (FFS I'm getting sick of reading that on blogs and news portals)

I had my twenty-first on Friday (my birthday isn't until the 23rd of April). Had a great time! Thanks to everyone who came and didn't. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. Anyone wanna hook me up (bro)?

I went to Supanova (Pop culture expo) with Clara on Saturday. It was pretty good this year. Lots to see and buy. Cosplayers were pretty funky too. My favourites were Darth Vader Borat, Claire Bennett, Captain Planet, Mario and the Espadas (from Bleach). Pictures at the bottom courtesy of RandomSin.com.

We bought a few Pinkys too! I was suprised to actually find any there, let alone pseudo rare editions!

The cosplay competition was pretty funny this year. One of the first few people that went on stage was Darth Vader, who was painted in green and yellow (Australian colours). Half way through his skit, he started stripping and revealed his "true" form (which was Borat in his flourescent yellow Mankini). He performed the Khazakstahn anthem, did the whole "my sister is the number 4 prostitute". The FUNNIEST thing was that his Mankini was misalligned and actually showed an outline of his penis through the skin colour spandex.

There was also some fat girl from some show I had never heard of. She had a whip. She went on stage, said NOTHING, started cracking the whip (unsucsessfully) about 15 times and just walked off. I don't think anyone took any pictures of her.

There was also some guy with a 3 meter tall gun made out of toilet rolls and cardboard. I thought it was a pretty worship effort.

OH! There was a kid who cosplayed as Gaara (from Naruto). He made a paper mache gourd! It looked awesome!

I modded my sister's Wii. I have to admit that it was pretty damn difficult. There were only six solder points, but the pads were only about 2mm apart. It one stage, two of them were soldered together, I had to re-melt the solder and chissle a gap between them, almost breaking the PCB!! Anyway, it worked in the end. Time to save money!
